About Me
Hi, I'm Gerstlauer (Gerst for short)! You might also know me as Tay.
I'm a 25 year old nonbinary (they/them pronouns) artist from the UK. I am autistic so please bear this in mind if I make a few little errors in communication!
My clients are usually from the furry community however I'm up to drawing just about anything. Outside of art, I am a computer science graduate (BSc Hons), rollercoaster and theme park enthusiast, cat parent, and I love birds!
I also enjoy horror media inc. games and movies. I am a digital artist specialising in a toony style, and I also like creating my own merchandise.
Above all else, I am a freelancer who's looking forward to working with a wide range of clients to make your imagination come to life!

Telegram Stickers/Emotes
A 512x512px (by default, other dimensions available upon request) bust of your character to depict an expression or mood for use as a sticker or emote on social media. These pieces do NOT come with my complex linework to not add clutter and are only flat coloured.
Prices listed are for 1 character - an extra character as a blank "YCH" character is included in this price, but please add £10 per sticker for every sticker with an extra character with a specific design.

Flat Colours
Flat coloured pieces are fully lined with clean, crisp inks, then coloured in simply with the base colours with no shading or lighting. I may use a gradient map to tie together the colours a little bit better if I feel it aids the piece, and a version with and without the gradient map will be provided.
An icon commission features your character from the neck upwards, and is my most cost-effective option for a fully detailed piece.
A badge or bust shot commission features your character from just under the bust upwards - perfect for use for a convention badge. Can be with or without name, or a square canvas for use as an icon if requested.
An illustration is a full body piece of your character, a great way to show off their design and personality. These pieces can feature up to 3 characters via my regular form - please contact me directly to discuss larger pieces.

Rendered
Rendered pieces are fully inked and coloured, with lighting, shading, special effects, texturing if applicable and potentially a gradient map if it helps bring the piece together. A version will be provided with a "clean" finish (no gradient map, noise or other overlay effects to composite the final piece), and a "final" finish (with said additions). These are my favourite pieces to work on!

Reference Sheets
A reference sheet is a piece of art that displays all of the features of your characters design for use by other artists and crafters, and by default comes with a front and back view of the character, along with additional parts that aren’t shown on those views. (Tail view included by default, wings included if they cover a significant portion of the back view - maw, paws, eyes etc. incur extra fees)Please note I will only draw flat coloured reference sheets.

Acrylic Con Badges
A symmetrical headshot of your character with a custom background “box” for their name - printed on approx. 5” acrylic. Double sided with name displaying on both sides for awkward con badge flips! Wide variety of clasps to choose from. Currently only available in flat colours. Please note some of the example images above were taken BEFORE the protective film was removed and may appear scuffed due to this, the final product is not.

BY COMMISSIONING THE ARTIST (ME), YOU (THE CUSTOMER) ARE LEGALLY BOUND TO MY TERMS OF SERVICE.
DO NOT COMMISSION ME IF YOU WILL NOT ABIDE BY THESE TERMS.
Legal Disputes
Any disputes involving or about my commissions or services, where legal action is involved, shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom without regard to conflict of law provisions and the customer agrees to exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue in the country of England, United Kingdom.
Character Permissions
The customer has permission by owners of personal characters within the piece to have them feature within the piece created by the artist.
Fanart of established franchises are exempt from this clause.I will not accept AI-generated images as character references.
Payment
The customer must pay the full cost of the artwork upfront unless a payment plan is discussed with the artist. (Read below)The cost must be paid via PayPal or SumUp in Great British Pounds (GBP). Cash may be accepted at conventions or other in-person events.Failure to pay will result in the cancellation of the client's commissioned piece.I can honour a short term payment plan for pieces over £100, but this must be discussed with me prior to accepting the commission. The maximum payment plan is 1 month and the piece will not be started until full payment is received.
Privacy Policy
The customer will be asked for an email address linked to a PayPal account in order to send payment. This will be organised via an invoice.The artist may use your legal name associated with said PayPal account for any legal issues that could arise.The customer will have to supply at least one form of social media or an email account for communication purposes.Personal information will not be kept once the business contract is over. (i.e. the client has received and approved of the final piece)
Image Rights and Distribution
The artist's work cannot be minted and/or sold as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), or sold for/paid for with any form of cryptocurrency.The artist's work cannot be used to train AI algorithms.As the artist, I am entitled to:
• Post the customer's commissioned work to their online galleries, giving credit to the customer for the characters used and for commissioning the piece.
• Sell the artwork as a print, with explicit permission from the customer only.
• Sell the artwork when included in an art pack, with explicit permission from the customer only.
• Use the artwork in personal portfolios.As the client, the customer is entitled to:
• Post the commissioned work to their online galleries, giving credit to the artist and linking to their social page(s).
• Print your commissioned artwork for personal usage.As the client, the customer is not entitled to:
• Sell the artwork as a print or any other form of merchandise, physical or digital unless discussed (see final clause)
• Profit from the artwork in any manner.
• Use the artwork for commercial use unless a commercial usage license and fee has been discussed and paid.
Refunds
Refunds can only be given before work starts on a commission. Once the sketch has been completed, you cannot request a refund. A 100% refund will be provided if cancelled before the sketch has been completed.I cannot offer refunds for bespoke physical items such as keychains and cushions. You will not receive the product if you do not provide the artist with postage information and pay the postage fee.
